NVA Invites Proposals for Spring 2024 Vulvodynia Research Award
Deadline to Submit Letter of Intent is Friday, February 16, 2024
Deadline to Submit Application is Friday, April 12, 2024
NVA is seeking research proposals on developing novel medical treatments for generalized vulvodynia or vestibulodynia.
The amount of these grants ranges from $50,000 to $150,000 for individual projects and up to $250,000 for multisite clinical investigations. Although we acknowledge the usefulness of CBT and mindfulness in coping with chronic pain, we are not funding psychosocial proposals at this time.
If you are interested in applying, please send an email to Phyllis Mate (pmate@nva.org) by Friday, February 16, 2024 that includes a brief (1-2 paragraph) summary of your proposed study’s objectives. Once we have received this information, we will email you a full application to complete and submit by Friday, April 12, 2024.
We require confirmation that all funds will be applied to direct research costs, not institutional costs. If you’ve previously applied and/or received grant support from the NVA, you are still eligible to apply. Summaries of studies that NVA has funded to date can be viewed on NVA’s web site.
We welcome correspondence about potential projects. To discuss your proposal, please contact Phyllis Mate via email (pmate@nva.org).
